We've got a lot of exciting things to show you about our dashboard, but to start small we've put together a tour to help explain the basics. Take the dashboard tour to learn about our core features or explore on your own!Take Dashboard Tour Maybe Later
You can take the dashboard tour at any time, so no need to do it now if you're in a rush.
Excellent! Let's start with the navigation. To the left are two main links that will always appear in this location. The All Sites link will take you to a list of all of the websites and databases that you have backed up. The Inbox link will take you to the secure inbox for your account, where we keep a record of all the emails and notifications we've sent you concerning your backups.
These tabs will only appear when you are viewing the details of a particular website.
Files: This tab will take you to a summary page for this website.
Databases: This page will show you the backup history for all of the databases associated with this website.
Restore: This tab includes a list of your most recent backups taken, including a description of all the restore options available to you.
Settings: Here you can edit your Website URL, edit your Monitoring settings (Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or Never) and update your Email Notifications settings.
These three links will always remain fixed at the top of the dashboard.
Support: Should you need assistance, this link will take you directly to our Support Center, where you can read helpful support articles, or contact a support representative to have your questions answered.
Logout: This will end your session.
Settings: This link will take you to your Account settings. On this page you'll be able to change your name, email address, or phone number. You'll also be able to customize your email settings for all your website notifications at once.
The Backup Progress Tracker shows you real-time updates of your website as it is being backed up for the first time.
The Status indicator at the top right tells you how your website is coming along so far. This status will either be 'On Schedule' if the activation is still going on, or 'Complete' if the activation successuflly finished.
This list contains the step-by-step process we go through while completing your first backup. We start by verifiying the login credentials for your website and then use that information to open a connection. We then analyze the structure of your directories and files and commit everything to Git version control for monitoring. The process ends with us transferring your backup to one of our private servers in the cloud and encypting it for added security.
When your website is done being activated this box will have a Close Progress Report button inside. Clicking it will hide the backup progress tracker for this website forever (After the initial activation is complete there is no need to keep the progress tracker in your dashboard).
There are a few ways that you can initiate a restore, we'll walk you through each one. First, you can click on the 'Restore' tab to the left. The Restore page includes a list of your most recent backups along with a button next to each to choose what type of restore you want to perform. There are 3 restore options available to you.
Download Zip: With this option you can select what backup you want to restore, download a zip of the content, and manually upload it to your FTP directory using an FTP service of your choice (i.e. FileZilla, CyberDuck, etc.).
One-Click Restore: With this restore option, you simply select what backup version you want to restore to and let us handle the rest.
Individual File Restore: This restore option gives you the ability to restore individual files as you need them. Just type the name of the file you are looking for in the input field.
After your first backup completes this page will include a graph with the most recent backups taken. Clicking the View All button will take you to a complete list of backups where you can select restore options. You can also click the Details button for a particular backup on the graph to view the backup for that specific date and view restore options.
If you have a database, restoring them works the same way. Clicking on the 'Database' tab to the left will show you all of your databases for this website. Clicking on the View All button next to the databases's graph will show you all the backups for that database, along with restore options.
